141 THE INTENSE PROJECT: IMPROVING DEMENTIA CARE THROUGH SIMULATION OF SELF-EXPERIENCE

Abstract Background The EC is concerned about the growing shortage of experienced health and social care professionals to for people with dementia. Although specialized dementia education programs have begun appear in recent years, a lack consistency adequate level knowledge anticipate required treatment remains across Europe. Improving demeNtia Through Self-Experience (INTENSE) project supports creation skills improvement paths Europe that incorporate promote successful self-experience methodologies practices increase understanding lived experience (e.g., Virtual Dementia Tours, role plays theatre workshops). Methods A systematic review tools, training interventions was conducted. Participatory stakeholder workshops were then held Ireland, Italy, Germany Netherlands explore ways which could be used better understand person how simulation incorporated into existing (or new) programmes.
